What Data We Collect

When you use this site, we may collect:

• Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter or use the AI Trip Planner with email verification
• Usage analytics — pages visited, AI Trip Planner queries (with IP addresses hashed for privacy)
• Cookies — only after you consent via our cookie banner. We use Google Analytics (GA4) for understanding traffic patterns. Cloudflare Web Analytics runs without cookies.

How We Use Your Data

• Email addresses: to send travel content you requested. We never sell or share your email.
• Usage analytics: to improve our content and understand which destinations are most helpful
• AI Trip Planner data: to generate your custom itinerary. Your queries are not stored long-term.

Data Retention

• Email addresses: retained until you unsubscribe
• Usage analytics: automatically purged after 90 days
• IP addresses: hashed before storage — we never store raw IP addresses

Your Rights

You have the right to request a copy of your data, request deletion, unsubscribe from emails at any time, or decline cookies. Email [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Third-Party Services

• Cloudflare — hosting and CDN (their privacy policy)

• Pinterest — content distribution and analytics for our own brand accounts only (their privacy policy)

Pinterest API and Pinterest-Derived Data

Discover More Travel uses the Pinterest API to publish content to and read analytics from our own Pinterest business account (@discovermoretravels). This is internal-only — we do not publish to or read from any third-party user's Pinterest account.

• What we collect via the Pinterest API: our own pin impressions, saves, outbound click counts, and account-level reach metrics. These are aggregate statistics about content we have published.
• How we use this data: to inform our editorial decisions about which travel content resonates with planners, so we can produce more of what is useful and less of what is not.
• What happens to Pinterest-derived data if we ever disconnect: if we revoke our Pinterest API connection, we delete the cached analytics data from our systems within 30 days. We do not retain copies indefinitely.
• Third-party sharing of Pinterest data: we do not resell, redistribute, or share Pinterest content or Pinterest-derived data with any third party. The data informs our internal editorial work and nothing else.
• Data subject contact: for any questions about our use of the Pinterest API or Pinterest-derived data, email [email protected].
• Pinterest endorsement disclaimer: Discover More Travel is an independent travel content network. We use the Pinterest API as a developer, but our app, brand, and content are not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Pinterest, Inc.
